The director uses the alchemy of HD images as a media weapon to speak for the environment. Through a three-stage structure, three major public pollution incidents and the ruthlessly suppressed environmental movement are sorted out, including the May 26 Incident in Dalinpu in 1992, the groundwater pollution incident in Linyuan Industrial Park in 2005, and the Chaoliao disaster incident in 2008. With "chimneys" as the main visual symbol of violence, the image combines corrosion, cracking and scratching images, aerial shots overlaid with chemical color renderings, burning ghostly trembling shadows, gray stained dust mirror images, imagery comics and audio-visual distortion magic to present subversion. The unique industrial landscape and the airy and dirty texture that are difficult to express visually.
