Raging Memories Film Festival｜ Filmmaker in Focus：HUANG Ming-chuan
From culture to cinema, from idealistic advocacy to visual storytelling—the Taiwan Cultural Association, founded in 1921, was not only a pioneer of social enlightenment, but also deeply planted the seeds of national self-determination in the hearts of the people. Though the Meitai Touring Troupe's performances have ended, the Association’s spirit of reform and critique continues to resonate a century later.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the Taiwan Cultural Association, the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute presents the "To the Young Rebels: A Century of the Taiwan Cultural Association" film program, featuring six key works by acclaimed filmmaker Huang Ming-chuan, in tribute to the movement that once swept across the island.
