Love In A Fallen City

In the 1940s, Shanghai woman Bai Liusu returns to her parents' home after divorcing her husband, only to face their impatience after exhausting her inheritance. Later, her family attempts to introduce the dashing overseas Chinese, Fan Liuyuan, to her younger sister, but Fan falls in love with Bai Liusu instead. However, Fan, being a free spirit, leaves Bai Liusu behind in Shanghai, promising to return when he tires of his wanderings. As war looms, the two briefly reunite in Hong Kong before parting ways, their futures tested amid turbulent times.
