人生的縫隙
2024・Taiwan・30 minutes
At the age of 17, Jia-Yuan was diagnosed with leukemia. Over the three years of battling the disease, he faced challenges that most teenagers would never encounter: conflicts with his mother over medical decisions, emergency placement by the government, multiple treatments and surgeries, and a bone marrow transplant. However, Jia-Yuan did not succumb to fate. While waiting for health insurance to approve immunotherapy, he persevered in his hospital room, preparing intensively for his college entrance exams.
The nonprofit media outlet "The Reporter for Kids" spent 8 months creating a series of special reports and documentaries, documenting the unique circumstances Jia-Yuan faced.
