In the forests of Tokyo’s Tama Hills lives a group of innocent and charming tanuki (raccoon dogs). However, their home faces destruction due to human expansion into new towns. Sensing an unprecedented crisis, the tanuki hold an emergency meeting and decide to revive their ancestral shapeshifting techniques, transforming themselves into humans and various mythical creatures to halt the development projects. Will these cheerful yet determined tanuki wage a war to drive humans away and protect their homeland?
