Yagna, a young Polish woman who advocates freedom, has an unrestrained soul but is imprisoned in a small rural village with pedantic ideas at the end of the 19th century. The villagers here adhere to the patriarchal system, and women are used as currency in exchange for farmland. Yagena was forced to marry a wealthy widower in the village, but her inner desire told her that the handsome widower's son was the one she longed for.
