The Wandering Nationals
2024・Taiwan・28 minutes
The director uses his own family's story, documenting the journey of smuggling and fleeing, to capture the different narratives of family members in Taiwan, the United States, and Vietnam. Centered around his grandmother, the story extends to the lives of uncles and aunts in various places, as well as the dialogues about self-identity among the descendants of immigrants. It also highlights the 'Overseas Chinese Bridge' established by the Vietnamese Chinese after the war.
