The old community is going to be regenerated. Hsia who suffers from dementia moves into her daughter’s leaving the home she’s lived all her life and the old community behind. Chuang is Hsia’s old neighbor; he has been looking after Hsia and her daughter since Hsia’s husband died. One day, with a key to an unknown door hung around her neck, Hsia comes back to the old community looking for Chuang.
The memories are disappearing both in the minds of the elderly who suffer from dementia and before the eyes of the young. The cities are changing at the rate faster than the loss of memories in the elderly’s heads. In that case, what is memory? Director Chen Singing tries to link the elderly who suffer from dementia with the disappearing memories of the cities and to understand how the elderly feel when facing the rapid changes in society.
