In 1928, under Japanese rule, the Kagi Agriculture and Forestry Public School (KANO) was founded to boost Taiwan’s agricultural development. Its baseball team began as a simple sports club to improve student fitness. But everything changed with the arrival of Coach Kondo.
Chasing the dream of reaching Koshien—a near-impossible goal for farmer boys—Kondo pushed the team through a year of intense training. Their perseverance paid off: against all odds, KANO won the local championship and earned a place at Koshien, turning their story into a lasting legend.
