I've Got a Little Problem
2017・China・44 minutes
Poet and artist Ren Hang is known for his vivid and sensual photographs of his friends' bodies. Although he considers himself to be just "doing whatever I want," in China, pursuing freedom and creation is always met with obstacles, and collisions with the system have become the norm. This film records many moments of Ren Hang's work, life and depression. Facing the prison of the world, his final resistance was to jump from the 28th floor of the building... Director Zhang Ximing used dramatic editing, image proportions and colors , multi-frame juxtaposition and other exquisite designs, describing the state of a well-known melancholic patient, challenging the reality of the documentary and the possibility of narrative.
