The Islands

An experimental documentary which consists of 35mm film photographs Hsieh took in three islands: Inishimore (Ireland), Staten Island (United States) and Tsushima Island (Japan). By constructing, re-filming and animating the photographs, island is no longer a geographical term, but a state of mind.
