The Unfinished Road: Inside the Taiwan Trilogy

From the early stages of planning The Taiwan Trilogy as a live-action film—scouting locations, conducting historical research, designing sets, costumes, architecture, and props—to launching crowdfunding and seeking investors, the team built sets, crafted detailed designs, produced props and costumes, and assembled a crew of hundreds. Then came the pandemic, making funding difficult, halting group filming, and preventing foreign talent from entering Taiwan. These challenges led to a shift toward animation. This entire journey is captured in the 30-minute documentary The Unfinished Road: Inside the Taiwan Trilogy.
