For Alice, life seemed perfect: an ideal boyfriend and a bright future in ballet. But it all falls apart when she discovers her boyfriend is cheating; she suffers an accidental injury during a stage performance, and the doctor tells her that she needs to suspend her dance career. Plummeting to the bottom, she begins a journey of physical and emotional recovery, leaving Paris for picturesque Brittany, where her friends, a new romance, and the freedom of contemporary dance allow her to repair her relationship with her father and find herself again.
