"Mantis" reinterprets the classical Chinese literary work "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" through a surreal lens, placing the story in a fantastical and diverse parallel universe. This 18-minute short film tells an unprecedented fable with a raw, picture-book aesthetic. Centered on endless maternal love, it unfolds through a unique narrative form, taking the audience on a visually stunning, deeply symbolic, and endlessly imaginative strange journey.
