Victor Assié, a struggling actor, is offered an unusual project: to take part in an online life simulation game, in which he would play himself. Under the watchful eye of two directors recording the experience in real time, he arrives on a virtual island populated by avatars engaged in all sorts of professions. His mission: to fit in. Initially disoriented, he finds his footing through a series of sometimes bewildering encounters, even if it means bending the rules of the game… This surprising documentary experiment offers a tenderly absurd look at our “real lives,” caught between the real and the virtual.
