Nurse Floria works in a surgical ward at a Swiss hospital, professional and passionate. She is skilled, always empathetic with patients, and theoretically, can react quickly even in emergencies. However, in reality, there are often staff shortages during shifts, and unexpected situations constantly arise. One late-night shift begins; due to a colleague's leave and a fully occupied ward, no replacement can be found. She has to care for a seriously ill young mother and an elderly patient awaiting diagnosis, while also attending to demanding private patients. As the night progresses, Floria feels as if she's entered a marathon against time...
