The Places Where The Winds Have Roamed
2025・Taiwan
Xinyu, a college student raised in Taipei, is sent back to his ancestral home in Meinong for the summer to accompany his grandmother. Initially restless and impatient with rural life, he feels a profound sense of loss in this space so disconnected from his past. One day, he accidentally discovers an old tape recorder. To his surprise, it holds the voice of his grandmother from her younger years speaking to him—a voice that seems to drift in from the wind. In that moment, he begins to grasp the true weight of "home" and learns to converse with the breeze. Finally, standing amidst the summer rice paddies, Xinyu whispers into his phone: "I will remember this summer, and everything you said."
