Okinawan photographer Mao Ishikawa crossed the ocean at age 33 to come to Philadelphia to photograph her friend, Myron Carr. Myron is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who was stationed in Okinawa in the 1970s. The photobook *Life in Philly*, subsequently published, is full of real and vivid images. This film looks back at that time, attempting to piece together fragments of lost memories through the perspectives of Ishikawa, Myron, and his surviving family members.
