Milan Second Residential Area, also known as Milan 2, is the first fully enclosed residential area in Italy. At that time, it attracted political and business celebrities and middle-class families to move in because of its complete public facilities and zero traffic problems, and it achieved great success. Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi used the slogan "a city full of firsts" as the real estate slogan when building it to attract the elite. Berlusconi indeed founded Italy's earliest private television station here. It then gradually influenced the national media and eventually dominated the political and business core of Italy. Milan 2 was also regarded by the public as the place where the controversial prime minister’s ambitions began.
