Yutaro Usaya, a Japanese student studying in Taiwan, embarks on a journey before graduation. With the Burmese battlefield of World War II as the background, visit the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo and the cemetery of the Tonggu Battlefield in Burma, attend the opening ceremony of the Chinese Expeditionary Force Monument, and listen to the stories of the descendants of the soldiers. Through Japanese military songs and poems by Chinese expeditionary force poets, enemies on the battlefield can talk to each other. And wandering around in the historical views of war in Taiwan, Japan, and China. Through the journey, we open up a dialogue between hostility and contradiction, and reflect on the historical interpretation of the so-called war: does it belong to the memory of the people, or does it serve the state machine?
