Water And Sugar: Carlo Di Palma, The Colours Of Life

2016・Italy・90 minutes

From Rossellini and Antonioni to Woody Allen, the classic works of various film giants were shot by master photographer Carlo Di Palma. Kahlo joined the production team of Visconti's "Enemy" at the age of 15, and has since become the standard bearer of neorealism light and shadow. From "reality-changing" black and white tones, to "over-realistic" color aesthetics, he has developed his own style. His life is like the history of Italian cinema. Ken Roach, Vin Wenders, and Bertolucci appeared one after another to pay tribute. Woody Allen, who worked with him on 12 films, told interesting anecdotes about his old partner, giving a glimpse into the master's colorful life outside the camera.
