16 Sunrises

2018・France・118 minutes

French astronaut Pesquet went on his first space mission and began a six-month gravity-free life on a space station 450 kilometers away from the earth. Following his daily routine, viewers feel as if they are experiencing 16 sunrises every day and witnessing the evolution of planetary cycles. The film is interspersed with recordings made by Saint-Exupery, the author of "The Little Prince" during his lifetime, as well as his soaring into the sky as a pilot and writing classic chapters about life, starting a philosophical dialogue with Saint-Exupéry that spans time and space. In the vast and mysterious interstellar space, you can take a look at the poetic yet futuristic records of the universe.
