Formosa

Thirty-nine years after the premiere of "Legacy", a classic dance drama that depicts the Han ancestors' colonization of Taiwan, Lin Hwai-min created "Formosa" based on the impression and atmosphere of Taiwan. "The whirling ocean, the beautiful island", Jiang Xun recited the words of contemporary writers describing the island. The spoken subtitles were derived into a visual landscape piled with Chinese characters on the projection screen.
