In the summer of 1999, the simple student life of four top students at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, was broken overnight by a ban. As the totalitarian machine continues to create lies and suppress dissent, they have a thrilling intersection with Daniel, an American journalist who once reported on the Tiananmen Square incident. Faced with the threat of surveillance, arrest, torture, and even death, how do they uncover the lies? How can they have the courage to tell the truth when the entire country is silent in lies?
