Kaohsiung Shorts（2017-2018）

Founded in 2012, the Kaohsiung Shorts grant program aims to establish Kaohsiung as Taiwan’s creative hub for short filmmaking. The initiative encourages creators to break boundaries and clichés, embrace bold storytelling, and highlight local culture through cinematic expression.
To date, over 100 short films have been supported through this program, making it one of the most influential and closely watched short film initiatives in Taiwan.
This selection features 12 Kaohsiung Shorts completed between 2017 and 2018, encompassing both narrative and experimental works. With diverse themes and unique cinematic languages, these films reflect the vibrant creative energy of Taiwan’s short film landscape in recent years.

高雄市電影館為南台灣專責推廣電影的基地，近年以「高雄人」品牌投資電影長片、影集及製作原創短片，並以「高雄拍」、「高雄VR FILM LAB」扶植新銳短片及VR創作，每年定期舉辦之高雄電影節，現為台灣最大的國際短片影展。
