Through cinema, we trace the softest parts of our bodies, striving toward ideals—yet those bound by reality need a hallucinatory state to truly “see” the world. The deepest voices that follow are the poems we use to disguise rebellion with obedience, and the selves who are lost within the work. Through subtle dialogues between text and film, we place the purest version of ourselves on the table. On Giloo, we've curated six films that span themes of coming-of-age, love and being loved, taboo, life and death, and the psychedelic.
