He was the youngest leader in the history of the Soviet Union. Holding the ideal of reforming communism and adhering to the political strategy of "opening up" and "reconstruction", it promoted the end of the Cold War, the reunification of the two Germanys, the nuclear weapons reduction agreement, and the disintegration of the Soviet Union. And it left extreme comments in the West and the motherland... Werner Herzog interviewed Gorbachev three times in six months.
