Small Oyster Rock in Kezailiao

2015・Taiwan・90 minutes

Kezailiao is an inconspicuous small fishing village beside Provincial Highway 17 in Taiwan. Due to the sharp decline in fish catches and the destruction of natural landscapes, there has been a serious population outflow. In 2012, a group of Haiziliao villagers and local youths jointly held the "Haigliao Fishing Village Little Rock". It is a music festival and a process of community cohesion: three generations of old, middle-aged and young people in the fishing village collaborate to create a miraculous concert based on their love for their hometown. This film completely records the process of the second music festival in 2014 from planning to curtain call. The event will eventually come to an end, but the community brought together by Little Rock is beginning to turn those initial efforts into substantial changes.
