Dear Grandma
2015・South Korea・92 minutes
One summer, a director who was looking for a job learned that his 93-year-old grandmother was diagnosed with suicidal tendencies. His granddaughter, who had been raised by her grandmother since she was a child, could not understand why the kind-hearted woman wanted to commit suicide. She was shocked and picked up a camera to accompany her and record the few moments left. Time together. When her eldest son passed away first, grandma's heart seemed to collapse violently. She began to drink heavily, and her strong body declined rapidly. The middle-aged man who could take care of him was trapped in work and unable to do anything. Should he be sent to a nursing home? Or should he fulfill his wish and let her enjoy her life at home? This is a narrative poem of love and attachment. The images convey the intimate and sincere emotions between ancestors and grandchildren.
