In 1994, Lin Hwai-min took his Nobel Prize-winning novel "Songs of the Wanderers" on a pilgrimage to Bodhgaya, the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment. After returning home, he composed this serene, serene and extraordinarily beautiful dance piece. Three and a half tons of golden rice constitute an ever-changing visual landscape, such as rain, waterfalls, mountains, rivers and deserts. Ethereal and graceful Georgian folk songs flow like water. The dancers holding tree staffs danced devoutly or enthusiastically, launching their blessing rituals, while a monk in white cassocks at the corner of the stage kept his hands clasped and motionless from beginning to end. At the end of the dance, a dancer bends his back and walks slowly, rake the rice all over the stage into huge concentric circles, which makes people tremble and move.
