The River

Xiaokang lives with his parents in a dilapidated apartment in Taipei. His father is addicted to gay saunas and the tenderness of teenagers. His mother, who works as an elevator lady in a restaurant, has a regular cheating partner. Xiaokang is also suppressing thoughts that he cannot express. The three of them have their own thoughts, almost like strangers living under the same roof.
After guest-starring in a movie scene with a floating corpse, Xiaokang suffered from a strange disease of crooked neck. He sought medical treatment everywhere but could not be cured. One day, his father took Xiaokang to Taichung to pray to God for relief. The overflowing desire broke through the defense line at night, and also brought the family's conflicts and pain to the surface...
