Lonely Hearts Club

The first feature film from director Chih-Yen Yee (known for Blue Gate Crossing). Chen Chun's family has an affair, a lustful husband, a daughter who has a crush on her teacher, and an elderly mother-in-law who is in a trance. Eager to escape reality, she meets Zhou Zhilong, a new young male colleague in the office, and is involuntarily attracted to him. However, Zhou Zhilong's smile and kindness seem to also hide his own secrets... Lonely men and women pursue their desires in bustling Taipei, while also escaping from them. And all of this may just be sentimentality induced by loneliness.
