To prepare for the Tokyo Olympics, the Japanese government plans to demolish numerous old houses. Umi Matsuzaki, a high school student living near the port, helps her family run a guesthouse. Rain or shine, she diligently raises a flag in the garden every day to honor her missing father, symbolizing "safe voyages." One day, Umi discovers that the school's club building is slated for demolition. Through their shared efforts to resist this, she meets Shun Kazama, a student activist, and the two develop mutual feelings. However, one day, Shun sees a photo at Umi's house and realizes they may share a blood relation...
