A mysterious light appears among the bamboo groves, drawing an old bamboo cutter's attention. Approaching it, he finds a bamboo stalk blossoming like a lotus, with a small, adorable girl seated within the flower's heart. Carefully, he takes her home, and he and his wife feel she is a gift from the heavens. To give her a better life, they move out of the forest and seek the help of noble patrons who name the girl "Princess Kaguya," raising her to be a true princess. Her beauty attracts the admiration of nobles, even reaching the emperor's ears. Yet, surrounded by wealth and splendor, the girl’s genuine smile, once bright in the forest, is nowhere to be found...
