This story takes place in Copenhagen in 1919. The First World War has just ended, and countries are busy dealing with the aftermath. However, there is a little life in a textile factory in a small town that is about to enter this chaotic world, ready to move, wailing in loneliness.
Dagmar is the proprietress of a candy shop, and she is also a kind-hearted woman who is rumored to help adopt children. He said that most of the adopted families are middle-class families with good businessmen, lawyers, and doctors. He believes that these children can live peacefully in this war-torn era. But when the children were sent into the bright and sweet candy house one by one, they lost their voices and no one was left. Only Dagma's weird angelic smile was left, waiting for the next baby.
