Boxin just graduated and returned to his hometown, yet he has no standing in his own home. His older brother looks down on him, his mother won't even prepare breakfast for him, and his father even wishes he were dead. With a bleak future ahead, he goes to a fortune teller, who bluntly tells him he will achieve success late in life.
Always by the side of this young man, whose face is etched with defeat, is a director, constantly filming him—with sarcasm and mockery, but also a hint of sadness.
