Once an active professional baseball player, Koji Hamashima has been living a dissolute life since being notified of being surplus to requirements 8 years ago. He betrayed his friends, was abandoned by his wife and children, and became self-destructive. However, Hamashima happens to be advised to switch careers and become a keirin cyclist. At the age of 40, Hamashima decides to enter keirin school to try his talent again. However, there he encounters harsh instructor training and bullying from young students, which is a harsh reality.
