The mother-son relationship, like magnetic poles, is sometimes in close proximity, sometimes fiercely repelling, and at times tightly attracting.
As redevelopment looms over their hometown, Ah Hao decides to use his father's inheritance to purchase a new house and start a new life with his mother, Ah Hsia. However, he discovers that Ah Hsia, who is politically fervent, is continuously donating the same sum of money as political contributions because she believes that the new mayoral candidate, Jiang Zhongyao, can bring them a better future.
Concerned that their inheritance might be squandered, Ah Hao decides to imprison Ah Hsia...
