THE FOX

Adapted from director Adrian. The personal story of Gao Jinge's great-grandfather. On the eve of World War II, Franz, who served as a messenger in the Austrian Federal Army, was incorporated into the German Wehrmacht. Before a certain raid, Franz found an injured little fox in the forest and began to take care of it as if it were his own. From then on, he forged a miraculous friendship. They accompanied each other through the difficult military life, and it also made Franz re-examine his rough childhood experiences. It wasn't until Franz was sent to the Eastern Front where the fighting was severe that he had to face a difficult choice...
