In 1992, a group of black-faced spoonbills were maliciously shot to death in Qigu, Tainan, which aroused great attention from the people of Taiwan. The photographer Jhen-Jyi Wang who was sent to interview at that time has embarked on the road of protecting the black-faced spoonbill for 30 years since then.
