Road to Yudo

He despairs as he watches the 400-year-old tradition of Yudo, the way of the bath, comes to an end during his generation with no one to succeed him. Just as he prepares to take his own life, he happens to be saved by a thief named Ando who had actually come to the mansion to commit a robbery. Unable to admit that, Ando instead pretends he is deeply inspired by Yudo and has come to be initiated in its ways. Unable to back down, Ando reluctantly follows Kajiyama in his quest to continue disseminating Yudo, but starts looking for ways to raise money. That’s when they’re told that the only way to make their wishes come true is to make a movie. As if by divine guidance, Ando and Kajiyama start production on it. They are told to gather seven professionals to make the film, and without knowing why, are drawn to some very quirky movie people – skilled to be sure, but quirky. Before long, they find themselves deeply steeped like a hot bath in the filmmaking process...
