A boy transferred to Beijing from Shandong province with his father，but he felt not adapted to the new environment. One day, he went to a social event with his father. His toasting brought the house down and he got much praise and encouragement from his father’s friends. That was his first time to drink and thereupon he attributed wine to praise he got which had provided him a sense of security. After this, he began to went to school every day with alcohol in his thermos cup in order to maintain the confidence wine gave him. However, he gradually began to fall into self-doubt since he knew he still felt unconfident about himself. Once after he got failure in exams, his father had a conversation with him and they expressed their deep thoughts with each other.
