Is it a person, a store sign, or a community living there?
"Zhen Zhen" began with street photography. The director took a camera into the Wanhua district of Taipei and used a photo taken before the outbreak of COVID-19 to ask local residents whether the stores in the image still existed. Through casual, home-like conversations with these strangers, the work gradually evolved into a record of the passage of time, the pandemic, and the lives and emotions of people during that period—quietly weaving a close and intimate connection with those who initially seemed distant and unfamiliar.
