“Do you really understand Taiwan?” Eight Taiwanese photography creators of different generations pursue images with their lives and interpret another different Taiwan through their eyes.
The film writes about eight photography art creators in Taiwan. They have their own identities, including university professors, blue-collar workers, and day laborers. They live in Kaohsiung, Tainan, Changhua, Taichung, and Taipei. Some of them are in rural areas where art and culture are not well-developed. Everyone works hard to create in their familiar places. In the reality that photography art alone cannot earn enough to make a living, everyone has their own compromises in life and persistence in their dreams.
They pursue themselves through photographic lenses, transform the difficulties of reality into creative power and shout to the world. 8 lives, 8 stories, and 8 different lives record this land of Taiwan from their own perspectives.
