Young funeral industry newcomer Zhang Jiacheng approaches his work mechanically until assigned a unique case: a deceased who appears feminine but is biologically male, sparking a family dispute over identity. Through this, Jiacheng begins questioning the funeral industry’s values.
He later meets the lively grandfather, Chen Letian, who dreams of performing rap at his own funeral. When Letian passes away, Jiacheng honors his wish with a music-filled, joyful ceremony, transforming grief into a celebration of life and showing how even in death, one’s spirit can inspire laughter, music, and liberation.
