The Exercise

Xiao-yu is a new immigrant from China who married into Taiwan. She and her younger uncle, A-lun, must take turns taking care of their hospitalized mother-in-law. At this time, the anti-extradition movement is still spreading in Taiwan. A-lun clashes with mainland students on campus and is absent from the hospital. Xiao-yu still works hard to balance work and family. An exercise implemented to resist China makes Xiao-yu feel even more isolated.
