Losheng Sanatorium is the only leprosy isolation hospital in Taiwan, originating from the forced isolation policy during the Japanese occupation. The residents have lived here for more than sixty years and have long regarded the sanatorium as their home. However, in 2002, they faced forced relocation due to the MRT project, and the government forcibly demolished Losheng Sanatorium in the name of economic development. The director is good at capturing subtle life experiences with images, recording the daily lives of Losheng Sanatorium residents supporting each other outside of the protests.
