《Snowfall in Yili》 is a documentary directed by Feng Lei, recording the daily life of a small Kazakh girl, Baheila, and her family after they migrated to a place without electricity in Xinjiang, including activities such as washing dishes, feeding sheep, carrying water, and milking, showcasing her optimistic spirit in the face of life's burdens. The film was nominated for Best Short Film at the 16th "Cinema du Reel" International Film Festival and won the "Joris Ivens" Award for Best Young Filmmaker at the 24th "Cinéma du Réel" International Film Festival. The film was released in mainland China in 2001
