Palestinian Women, a Guide to Cultural Resistance

2020・France・55 minutes

Since 2002, Israel has been building a separation wall that divides the same territory, with two nations each claiming sovereignty: the Palestinian nation and the Israeli nation. The director and Nadija, a girl living in Jerusalem (or the Holy City, as it is known in Arabic), set off together, traveling from Jerusalem to Haifa, via Acre, Bethlehem, and Ramallah, crossing Israel and the West Bank, and conducting interviews with Palestinian women on both sides of the separation wall. This documentary reveals these initiators, feminists, entrepreneurs, and artists who are working to build a future in a divided and contentious country.
