Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound

It brings together three masters of contemporary Hollywood sound effects production: Walter Murch of "Apocalypse Now", Ben Belt of "Star Wars", and Gary Reiss of "Jurassic Park", together with dozens of Oscar winners for Best Sound Effects Editing and Best Mixing. Sound winners join forces to talk about the secrets of classic film sound production. Starting from the "sound effects engineer" and "concert team" in the silent film era, we review the technical and aesthetic evolution of all sound effects recording, editing, post-production dubbing, and foley since the sound film era. Recalling the history of film, I also pay my highest respect to the workers who have silently sacrificed their lives for the "Sound of Cinema".
